Hello! I’m Liesbeth Bosschaert, but most people call Lizzie. I have a Bachelor of Arts first class degree in English Literature and Linguistics, a MSc. Honours degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, specialising in Children and Youth and an Advanced MSc. in Diplomacy and International Relations, with a specialism in International Law and Peace building. I was raised bilingual in French/Dutch and have worked a variety of jobs in several countries. Over the years, I have taught different age groups, including primary, secondary and university students, adults, immigrant young people and people with learning difficulties or (additional) emotional and socio-economic challenges.
Having experienced drawbacks in mainstream education myself, I strongly believe in the power of imaginative learning, adapted to each student’s interests, pace and way of thinking. Therefore, I prefer one to one tutoring or teaching small groups over larger classrooms so we have a real chance to connect and constructively work towards desired results. Each individual has a tremendous capacity to achieve, it is often “just” a matter of finding out what makes them tick and unlock the confidence to become their best possible selves. I believe each person can do this and I am determined to help bring this about.
