Dan Bolsover

I’m Dan, Alison’s husband, I studied maths at degree level at Rolle College part of Plymouth University. Also, many different courses at the university of life. I’m joking, I have had many different jobs over the years giving me training in a multitude of areas. Horticulture, Catering, Tool Hire, driving; Courier – Multi-Drop – Small Van – Large Van – 7.5 Tonne – Bus Driving, not to mention Audio Visual and Software Based Computing.

My university course at Rolle College was a BEd in Maths, hence my degree level Maths. I found the classroom teaching too stressful but one to one tuition I really enjoyed because I could build a better rapport with the student and help them with whatever issues they had.

As stated earlier I’ve worked many different types of jobs, this has provided me with a large experience base but the one constant that I’ve held is Audio Visual work. For over 20 years I’ve had a hobby of doing live sound mixing for various churches, discos, karaoke and conferences. I’ve worked in London as an outsource AV Technician where I would go to businesses as and when they needed an AV Technician, but I also worked as an in-house AV Technician also where I was based at one of the merchant banks on Canary Wharf. I’ve also been self-employed within this area providing both equipment, expertise and teaching how to use audio visual equipment.

I’ve also been a web designer and builder, producing many different websites and servicing websites. I’ve built this website and continue to keep it updated it for Alison and Jurassic Coast Tutors. If there is anything specific that you’d like to see or have any problems with the website, please use the contact us page and we’ll be able to get back to you.
