I am a fun and passionate teacher with a wealth of experience and professional development within education. I have worked in all areas of educational settings not only here in the UK but in Germany, Canada & the US. Starting as a professional dancer and choreographer I developed an interest in national curriculum and SEN. I have had the pleasure of being the EYFS Manager and FS1&2 lead for a large school in Bad Fallingbostel Germany for the British Forces children, AQA advisor of arts curriculum development and Manager of the conservatory of music and dance 5 Million Dollar project in Medicine Hat Canada. I enjoy getting to know my students and I feel an inclusive and holistic approach to learning is paramount. I like to understand the method in which my students learn and pinpoint how I can create interesting and educational projects with them to benefit their learning journey.
I am the Founder of The Darcey Foundation – Enabling children and young adults to use dance and drama as a method of therapy and source of education/ training for teachers to adapt inclusive practice. I am the founder and director of ABPA Schools, these school are directed by principals / other teachers for the benefit of British Army children and surrounding communities. I have 3 schools in Germany, one in Canada and one here in Bovington. I have two Siberian huskies who I adore and run each day. Luna and Alfie, I love the outdoors and exploring. I have four lovely daughters and enjoy baking, cooking and arts work with them. I enjoy learning new skills and always have a project on the go, currently I am taking my examiners certificate with LAMDA – London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art
